ARMY OF DARKNESS # 2 PREVIEW
I'm having a blast on Army of Darkness. I love this book, and working with Cullen Bunn has been great. I have had the pleasure of meeting him twice now since we have been working together... We just recently did a signing at Heroes Haven Comics in Tampa, FL... great turnout... and it was awesome to see some friends as well. I got there early and casually joined the ranks of people waiting in line... it was quite funny to go and sit down at our signing table after just chilling out with the crowd for almost an hour. Obviously, most of the crowd was there for Cullen and had no idea what I look like... but still... I appreciate their support for the book. The reviews have been, for the most part, incredibly positive... so that's nice as well.
Mike Perkins, Bart Sears, Paul Pelletier, Jamie Jones, Tony Kordos, and the whole Heroes Haven crew were in the house... I even got to see the original inks for Mike Perkins' Star Wars # 1 Variant cover. That dude does some amazing stuff.
I feel like I've been very lucky to have gotten paired with such phenomonal talents like Pat Shand and Cullen Bunn in the last few years... I've had great editors as well... and wonderful collaborations with colorists Nick Filardi, Slamet Mujino, Aikau Oliva and letterers Jim Campbell and Charles Pritchett ... I hope things continue to go well in 2015.
Anyhow, Army of Darkness # 2 previews went up on Bleeding Cool - you can check the article out HERE.
I still get nervous when I see my name on Bleeding Cool... luckily noone has blasted me on their comments section yet... but I imagine I can't dodge that bullet forever.

Army of Darkness 1992.1
I was very excited to get to work on part of this project. I am a huge Evil Dead/Army of Darkness/Ash fan, so this was just pure fun. Please make sure you preorder! It's 48 pages of awesome. Here's a link to the press release! Army of Darkness 1992.1 November 2014!
It was an interesting project to say the least. Stepping away from Robyn Hood was daunting, new characters, new faces, settings, the works - but I had a lot of fun, and felt like I tried some new things with the pages...I hope you all like it. Working with Cullen Bunn was great, and the script was a blast to draw. Getting to be a part of a special celebration of the Army of Darkness series with the likes of Steve Niles, Elliott Serrano, Cullen Bunn, James Kuhoric, Mike Raicht, Francesco Manna, Juan Francisco Moyano, Juanan Antonio, and Matthew Childers was incredibly cool. I think I had Army of Darkness streaming every day for a few weeks straight.

HEROES CONVENTION / concepts and general update 6172014
I've been playing around a little bit with concepts, I wish I could re-brand the Robyn Hood Ongoing book a little bit. No negativity to what has been and what is, just, in my mind, Robyn would be the alt rock punk hipster of the zenescope universe and the book should reflect current trends and whatnot... I dunno... so I thought I'd post a teaser concept I've been messing around with in between pages... just a little sketchy sketch to break the monotony of never ending monthly interiors.
UPCOMING APPEARANCES:
Heroes Convention - June 20-22-
You can find me in Artist Alley AA 1507! Please stop by and say hi. I'll be doing sketchs, signing books, and will have some prints and other goodies to check out.
Ocala Comiccon - June 28&29
Tampa Bay Comiccon - Aug 1-3
I'll be hanging with the Heroes Haven Crew - I'll be singing books, doing commissions and sketches, and providing sage wisdom. Stop by!

Long time no post.
Wow - Has it really been almost 6 months since I've updated this blog? Sorry! I've literally been grinding out books since the last post. It seems like a reoccurring theme lately in my posts regarding the inconsistent nature of my updates. As of last week, I've completed the final issue of Robyn Hood : Legend. Here's some pics I've seen leaked around the net:
This series was a difficult one for me. The deadlines were tight for the entire 5 issue run. Issue 5 of this series marks my 15th book with Zenescope of which I have done the interiors for - and 33 books I've appeared in so far. CRAZY. that's kind of a big deal for me. I still run my screenprinting business, and have a 2 year old son as well. My wife and I just bought a house. Considering I still have several issues scheduled to draw in the next months, I feel like I'm dreaming sometimes. Is this really my life?
I can't believe the story that we began telling in volume 1 has finally wrapped up. It's been an incredible journey, I feel like I've grown as an artist. Deadlines have forced me to learn how to let go of a page. I know that if I had more time, I could do more to every page... but that doesn't change the fact that these are monthly books... so... I feel like you have to find that sweet spot sometimes, where you can live with what you're turning in, regardless if it's up to par with what you know you can do. 2 years ago around this time, I was still working on small indy projects and considering getting out of the game. It's not much compared to some people I know, but for me, having been able to work for companies like IDW, Valiant Entertainment, & Zenescope Entertainment these last 2 years and have my work published on a national level is just an amazing experience and worth every sleepless night and moments of frustration.
